The Deeper Story
Deeply Rooted grew out of a desire to grow deeper in my own relationship with God, but to do so in community with other believers. To cultivate fun and creative spaces for us to study the Word, storing and treasuring it while enjoying the beauty of creation - good food and drink, conversation, nature, art, music, writing, theater, architecture, comedy, robust discussions, and all of the riches of this life God in his grace offers us.
Ultimately recognizing that the Lord in his kindness always invites us to go deeper.

We are called to spur one another one.
Evangelists, shepherds, and teachers are to equip the saints (all believers) for the work of ministry, so that the Body of Christ (the global Church) builds itself up in love. Jacksonville is fortunate to have many local churches doing really good equipping work. Our desire at Deeply Rooted Jax is to create opportunities for the fellowship of believers to partner together in equipping the saints. Every believer has a gift meant for the building up of the Body of Christ. Our desire is to make space for believers to utilize their gifts for the glory of God and the good of others. Making space for those who are gifted at teaching, to teach; those gifted at serving, to serve; at praying, to pray; at giving, to give; and so.
