What if the thoughts and feelings that overwhelm you could become some of your greatest allies?
We all have moments when we overreact, shut down, worry, people-please, get frustrated, or feel like we’re carrying too much. Sometimes we know what we want to do, but something inside us seems to take over.
This workshop will help you slow down and understand what’s happening within your soul so you can respond with greater freedom, compassion, and intention.
Drawing from Scripture, Boundaries for Your Soul, and Internal Family Systems–informed practices, you’ll learn a simple, practical process called a You-Turn—a way to pause, listen to what’s happening within you, and invite God into the process.
You’ll leave with practical tools to:
Recognize what’s really happening when you feel overwhelmed. Instead of simply thinking, “Why am I like this?”, learn to notice what may be underneath your reaction when you snap at loved ones, shut down during conflict, or feel anxious about everything on your to-do list.
Understand the different parts of you that show up in everyday life. Learn to recognize the part of you that wants to keep everyone happy, the part that feels like you have to hold everything together, the part that worries about what others think, or the part that wants to withdraw when life feels like too much.
Learn how to pause, listen, and respond instead of react. Practice a simple “You-Turn” that helps you slow down when emotions take over-before sending the text, saying the harsh word, shutting down, saying yes when you really want to say no, or letting fear make the decision for you. Learn how to listen to what’s happening with your soul and respond with greater clarity, compassion, and intention.
Discover how faith can shape the way you respond to what’s happening inside you. Explore what it means to bring your thoughts, emotions, and reactions to God with curiosity rather than shame, and to allow Christ to lead you toward greater peace, freedom, and wholeness.
Know what your next step might be. Leave with greater clarity about whether continued personal reflection, life coaching, or biblical counseling could be helpful as you continue growing.
This workshop is for you if you’ve ever thought:
“Why did I react that way?”
“I know better, but I keep doing it.”
“Why is this bothering me so much?”
“I’m tired of trying to keep everyone happy.”
“I wish I could stop overthinking everything.”
“I want to respond differently, but I don’t know how.”
What feels overwhelming doesn’t have to control you. You can learn to slow down, listen to your soul, and move toward wholeness.
